DISCUS Software has a new template for AS9103 and training how to customize DISCUS to export to this form. If you have Results, you can create custom fields such as Frequency and enter pre-defined values or free-form text values. Access the Default DISCUS template and create a new column, for example called Frequency. For the token enter ${boc_Frequency} and the data exports. For Operation Number, in DISCUS create a column called Op No and then in the Excel create a column called Operation Number, but the token is the same as you entered in DISCUS but remove any spaces (case sensitive).
${boc_OpNo}. Do this for any item you want to map from DISCUS to the form. If it’s simple, it’s DISCUS. If it is customizable and easy to use…it’s DISCUS. Contact rkeller@disussoftware.com for this new template.

After you capture an image via the ballooning in DISCUS, open the Characteristics Properties box. If you captured too much of the data (such as leader lines or extranous lines), click into the image and use the automatic cropping tool to cut out the extranous data. The OCR will then render the variable data more accurately.
