DISCUS Software hosts two classes each month, a Beginners and Advanced users class. If you want a training certificate (worthy of framing!) just ask the trainer for the certificate and he/she will send you one right after the session. Plus if you want a “homework” assignment, the trainer will give you a ballooning exercise and even grade it for you. Become a summa cum laude in DISCUS!
Once you create various filters, they are saved in your DISCUS. To access them easily, click View and select Characteristic Filters and view the list of your previously created filters. Click the filter you want to be active from this easy-to-see and use list.
If the drawing skips some letters such as G or I, you can set up the zone grid properties in DISCUS to exactly match your drawing. Open the zone / grid properties page and at he bottom field to exclude items, enter the letter or number to skip. For multiple skips, enter the value with a comma, such as G,I. Click OK and the zone letters excluded will not display on the drawing.
Once you have added a .txt file or CSV file to the DISCUS CMM module, click on the hyperlinked CMM Report Name and click the CMM Result Field tab. Enter the data for the fields and all this information will transfer globally to each and every CMM result line.
