Tip #22 Filter Incomplete Requirements

Home 01/4/2010 | Category: Tips

If you like to drop balloons and capture data later, this technique is ideal for ensuring you have addressed every item you have ballooned.

  1. Drop the balloons on the print.
  2. For each balloon select the Image icon on the tool bar and drag a rectangle around each item.
  3. To ensure you have captured all, select the third icon in the BoC (filter) and select incomplete. All incomplete items will display and complete each.
  4. Click Next to address the subsequent item.

That’s nice, but when I have a crowded print, how can I look over the whole print and see what I’ve missed?

    Hey Sparky,
I know the pain, and I used to worry about missing something on the crazy drawings but NO MORE. Here is what we do.. in DISCUS under Drawing, click the Snap Requirment image option and fill in the data and the char you have captured are colored. If you want to go a step further, white it out and only the char you have not done will show up. Works like a charm and I RARELY, if ever, miss anything. So I am the star now. How long you been using DISCUS?

Hi, possibly i’m being a bit off topic here, but I was browsing your site and it looks fascinating. I’m setting up a blog and trying to make it look clean, but everytime I touch it I mess something up. Did you design the blog yourself? Could someone with little experience do it, and add updates without messing it up? Anyways, good information on here, very informative.
